Marine marginal zones are most susceptible to geomorphic modifications. Study of sequential datasets enables clear understanding of the changes that an area has undergone. Systematic study of the datasets of Bahuda estuary region revealed that the mouth of the river is oscillating during the past seven decades. The morphology of the estuary is also modified due to combined action of fluvial, fluviomarine, marine and aeohan action. The tidal influence together with the fluvial regime is responsible for modification of the coastal landforms and tidal swamps located inland. The channel bars and mouth bars are under constant influence of the physical processes and are adjusting to the dominant processes, which control their existence and geometry. The Bahuda estuary region can be considered as one of the most attractive sites along the coast of Orissa due to panoramic view and unique geomorphological set up in the context of tourist potential.Keywords

In this article, a search for antecedents' latent variables of organisational commitment from organisational health, occupational role stress, and social support for Indian Nationalised Bank Managers was made. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used to assess the fit of the model that identified autonomy, cohesiveness, goal focus, role overload, and responsibility for the person as statistically significant antecedents of organisational commitment. Our models provided a good fit. Direct and indirect effects of exogenous variables on endogenous variables estimated and resultant percent of variance accounted into organisational commitment reported.Keywords

Spiritual health may not be something that you think much of, yet its impact on your life is unavoidable.The basis of spirituality is discovering a sense of meaningfulness in your life and coming to know that you have a purpose to fulfil thus leading to job satisfaction and in turn life satisfaction. The present study is an attempt to examine the relationship between Spiritual Health and Life Satisfaction in Police Personnel in Uttar Pradesh. Keeping in mind their stressful lifestyle, work pressure, erratic work hours and lack of sleep, it was felt necessary to study the relationship between spiritual health and life satisfaction. Police personnel were selected randomly and a sample of 300 was taken for the present study from across Uttar Pradesh. The Spiritual Health Scale developed by the Institute of Transformation (2000) and the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) developed by Diener et al. (1985) was administered on the subjects. Results revealed a high positive relationship between the two. The higher the spiritual intelligence of a person, the higher was their satisfaction with life.Keywords

Although the components of mindfulness and spiritual intelligence may converge conceptually, few empirical researches have been conducted quantifying the relationship between these two constructs. This study aimed to find out the extent of association between mindfulness and spiritual intelligence among bank employees. It was hypothesized that the relationship between mindfulness and spiritual intelligence will be positive. The sample consisted of 120 bank employees working at a managerial position in various branches of State Bank of India, from the city of Lucknow and nearby districts (India). The minimum job experience of the participants was sixteen years,. Mindfulness was measured using the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale developed by Brown and Ryan (2003). The level of spiritual intelligence was assessed using the Spiritual Intelligence Self Report Inventory developed by King and Disico (2009). The data thus collected was analyzed using the Pearson product moment correlation analysis. Results revealed a statistically significant positive relationship between mindfulness and spiritual intelligence (r=0.28) (p value 0.01). Correlation analysis between mindfulness and the four sub scales of spiritual intelligence namely critical existential thinking, personal meaning production, conscious state expansion and transcendental awareness all revealed a low to moderately positive statistically significant relation. Thus, as the level of mindfulness increased, the levels of spiritual intelligence also increased and as the levels of mindfulness decreased, the level of spiritual intelligence also decreased. Future researches in this domain can attempt to find out the effect of mindfulness based intervention in enhancing individual's level of spiritual intelligence.Keywords

The aim of this research was to find out the relationship of self-efficacy with affective commitment, normative commitment, continuance commitment and overall organizational commitment in revenue personnel. It was hypothesized that self efficacy will have a positive relationship with organizational commitment (overall & area-wise). The sample comprised of 150 Income Tax personnel working in Lucknow, Allahabad, Kanpur, Faizabad and Agra (Uttar Pradesh-India). The age of the respondents ranged between 30 years to 40 years. Two psychometric tools were used in this study. Organizational commitment scale by Khan and Mishra (2002) was utilised to measure organizational commitment. Self-efficacy was assessed with the help of Generalized Self-efficacy Scale by Schwarzer and Jerusalem (1995). The statistical analysis conducted on the obtained data was Pearson's Correlation coefficient. The results indicated that self efficacy was positively and significantly related to affective, normative, continuance and overall organizational commitment in revenue personnel.Keywords

Context: Original research. Aims: The aim of the present study to evaluate the effects of prosthetic material on the stress distribution of implant-supported prosthesis in the bone around implants using finite element analysis and to draw a comparison so as to which material causes the least amount of stress on the bone. Settings and Design: In vitro finite element analysis - Comparative study. Methods and Materials: Models of the implants and the mandible were constructed using SOLID WORKS software and then they were transferred to another software ANSYS Work bench for FEA. A four-unit prosthesis was designed in the region of anterior mandible with implants being placed in 32 and 42 regions. The prosthesis was made of different materials in different models, M1 was of made of cobalt chromium framework, M2 was made of Titanium framework, M3 was made of zirconia framework each with layered ceramic. M4 was a monolithic zirconia prosthesis. The values of the Von Mises stresses generated in the implant, superstructure and alveolar bone around were calculated. The total deformation and stress generated in different models were calculated and compared. Statistical analysis used: Von mises Stress Analysis, Unpaired t test. Results: Zirconia and Monolithic zirconia showed comparatively less total deformation and stress levels in peri-implant bone. Titanium prosthesis caused less total deformation and stress distribution as compared to cobalt chromium. Conclusions: The distribution of stress in peri implant bone is evidently dependent on the prosthesis material and different materials cause different amount of deformations as they differ in their clinical properties.Keywords
